History of Virtual Machines

History of Virtual Machines:

The history of Virtual Machines was started in late 1960's through IBM system/360 Mainframe. Starting with Intel 386 machines in 1985, x86 CPUs have included more hardware support for running 16 bit DOS applications. However there was no hardware based virtual machine mode for 32 bit operating systems until Intel announced its Virtualization Technology (VT) in 2004 and AMD announced Pacifica in 2005.
